Dress Code

Evolution students must be dressed appropriately for all dance classes. Please refer to the table below for a list of required shoes and acceptable outfits. For ALL classes dancers must have their hair tied securely in a ponytail or bun and off their face.

General Dress Code

In general, girls black bodysuit may be substituted for black dance shorts and black, tight-fitting camisole or tank top, except for ballet classes. Girls must wear a bodysuit and tights for all ballet classes. For your child’s safety, no jewelry (necklaces, bracelets, hoop earrings) are allowed in class other than small stud earrings.

Girls are asked to buy beige jazz and/or tap shoes initially. Competitive students may have to change the colour of their shoes when the teacher decides on a costume. Students should wear Body Wrappers tights, and jazz or tap shoes by Bloch. Please label all shoes and accessories with your child’s name to prevent lost items.

All students should be aware of good grooming and hygiene. Please ensure your pre-teen and teenage children use a good anti-perspirant or deodorant. Please remind children to always wash their hands before returning to class.
